Contest Update
Thank you for your interest in the ACLU Constitution Day Freedom Funnies contest. We are discontinuing the contest due to the low level of entries in 2014, and we are drafting a new Constitution Day program for 2015. We made a $1,000 award to the schools that sent in submissions to our 2014 Constitution Day contest as a token of our sincere appreciation for their hard work and support of the program.
Short & Sweet!
Rules to Participate in the Contest for up to $25,000
- The contest runs from September 1, 2014 to December 5, 2014. Entries submitted before September 1, 2014 will not be included.
- All schools receiving any federal funding can participate, including public, private, charter, religious and secular schools.
- All schools that enroll students in one or all of the following grades can participate: 5, 6, 7, 8, & 9.
- All artwork, cartoons and copy must be designed and created by students working in a group of at least five students. Students can be enrolled in the same school in any combination of the grades listed above can participate in the contest. Teachers are permitted to guide, advice and organize the process.
- All entries must be submitted by a teacher or school administrator via email to Constitutionday@aclu.org no later than December 5, 2014. Entries submitted by students will not be accepted.
